The IJCAI conference is the largest event for AI researchers all over the world. IJCAI 2013 will be held in Beijing, China, on August 3-9, 2013.

Beijing is an amazing city with many attractive sites, such as the forbidden city, the great wall, and the summer palace. The conference will be held partly at Tsinghua University (workshops and tutorials) and partly at the Beijing International Conference Center (main program). BICC is located very close to several hotels of different price ranges and it is in the area of the Olympic games, with the world famous Bird's Nest.

The conference program will start with 36 workshops, 24 tutorials, as well as the doctoral program, that will all be held on August 3-5. August 4-9 will include the technical program, with 387 papers in the main track and 26 papers on the special themes of the conference (AI and computational sustainability). Moreover, the special track on best papers from sister conferences includes additional 36 papers that have been honored with the best paper award or best thesis award in prestigious AI-related conferences in specific areas of AI, and the journal track includes 12 papers which summarize the contribution of papers that have been published already in the Artificial Intelligence Journal or the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research but have never been presented before at a conference. Plenary talks will be given by 7 invited speakers and 2 award winners. The conference also includes a video competition, a robot exhibition and competition, and an Angry Bird competition.

The conference registration fee includes access to the technical program, opening reception, banquet, all lunches, as well as tutorials, while for workshop participation there is a flat additional registration fee.
